The Fourth Annual Sub-sector Networks Meeting Southeast Asia Urban Environmental Management (SEA-UEMA) Project

The Southeast Asia Urban Environmental Management Applications (SEA-UEMA) Project – a joint initiative between Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the Canadian International Development Strategy (CIDA) – aims to improve the urban environmental conditions through good urban environmental management (UEM) policies and practices with gender equality and poverty reduction as crosscutting themes.


As part of its activities, the SEA-EUMA Project through the Urban and Regional Development Institute (URDI), Indonesia conducted the Fourth Annual Sub-sector Networks in Bandung, Indonesia with four agenda below:

  • Share experiences and lessons learned related to SEA-UEMA activities (ADP, JAR, pilot projects, SNP activities, graduate education, etc)
  • Promotion of the activities and results of active network members and partners
  • Discussion on strengthening the functioning of the four results at local networks including gender equality-related activities
  • Development of strategies and propose action for the sustainability of the networks
  • Share experiences and discuss for dissemination of project results at local networks

The participants for the regional networks meeting were active network members of the SEA-UEMA Project who are urban environmental managers, engineers and policy makers in eight Southeast Asian countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam).
